Carbon fiber material innovation alliance exchange technology held in Beijing

China Drying Network Recently, the first council of the Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation in Carbon Fibers and Composites Industry was held in Beijing.

The leaders of the High-tech Division of the Ministry of Science and Technology fully affirmed the positive role played by the alliance in the industry and industrial development in the past three years, and pointed out that the development of the carbon fiber industry and industry in China is in a critical stage of breaking through key core technologies, and the alliance should improve domestic production. The competitiveness of carbon fiber is our responsibility. Market demand is taken as an important reference for formulating an industry development strategy, market-oriented, and combined with the strengths of industry, universities, and research institutes. We must organize industry-wide forces to promote technological innovation in the domestic carbon fiber industry around common key issues.

After the meeting, all units of the Union introduced the application and development of carbon fiber composite materials in civil engineering, the application of high-performance carbon fiber and its composite materials in aerospace equipment, the application of domestic carbon fiber in aviation, and carbon fiber composite materials in wind turbine blades. The use of carbon fiber fabrics, the application and development of carbon fiber fabrics, the demand for carbon fiber composite materials for domestic carbon fiber, the problems existing in the use of domestic carbon fiber, and suggestions for improvement were discussed.

According to reports, the Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation in the Carbon Fiber Material Industry was incorporated into the National Industrial Technology Innovation Strategic Pilot Alliance by the Ministry of Science and Technology in October 2013. It now includes China Metallurgical Group Corporation, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Jiangsu Hengshen Fiber Materials Co., Ltd., and Weihai. Expanding Fiber Co., Ltd., Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd., Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanxi Coal Chemical Industry and China Petroleum Jilin Petrochemical Company, and other 18 companies.
